Choose stainless steel for the actual chemistry
SUS304 and SUS316L are available product-contact family references. The specified grade follows the liquid composition, acidity, salts, process temperature and cleaning exposure. A photograph of an assembled machine does not establish the grade of every wetted part.
Identify the required material documentation and component schedule in the equipment order. Keep the evaporation configuration, plate geometry and product-contact metal as related but separate specification choices.
Consider product and cleaning exposure together
Seals must be compatible with the liquid, operating temperature and planned cleaning chemistry. Include the concentration range and the duration or frequency of the relevant exposure when assessing the seal specification.
The actual plate and seal arrangement belongs to the selected assembly. Do not infer channel geometry, exact seal material or an operating-pressure limit from an external view of the closed plate pack.
Leave room to inspect and maintain the pack
The fixed and movable frames, support bar and tie bolts provide the plate-pack construction. The installed layout needs the specified opening and handling clearance, accessible connections and safe isolation points.
Obtain plate sequence, closing dimension and maintenance information for the delivered configuration. Service parts must match that assembly, rather than a generic plate-evaporator photograph.
